Description:

Andina Arts Bolivia (AAB), a new microenterprise, works with Bolivian artisans for the export of handcrafts, mainly to Germany, but to Europe in general as well. AAB is in the process of preparing the first delivery of products to Germany to test the acceptance in the German market. We are interested in receiving an Intern to work with the company’s staff in the process of preparing further shipments to Germany and Europe.

Requirements for Internship:

  • Graduate or student in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Commerce or Trade related fields from an European University.
  • Ability to work and coordinate with producers.
  • Knowledge of European regulations & laws for trade and import of handcrafts is desired.
  • Capacity to do quality controls over products.
  • Interest in handcraft production and the Bolivian culture.

Conditions:

  • The Internship will take place in La Paz, Bolivia, starting in June or July, for a period of 1 to 3 months.
  • AAB will provide the Intern with a place to work and working materials.
  • AAB will provide a work certificate at the conclusion of the Internship with a detailed report of the Intern’s responsibilities.
  • AAB will provide guidance and the proper conditions for the Intern to develop his/her work in Bolivia.

    Responsibilities:
  • Support the coordination of AAB with Bolivian producers in the process of preparation of the first delivery.
  • Help with the quality control of products according to export regulations.
  • Support the export process by giving advice on European regulations and market.
  • Support the evaluation of new producers for the export of handcrafts.
  • Participate on the marketing study of the European market for handcrafts.

Note: The Intern will not be held directly responsible for any of the mentioned processes and will work in coordination of AAB’s staff.
